Our first gathering was in the spring of 1997. From the very beginning we have been committed to being a Christ-centred, Spirit-empowered, and mission-focused community of believers.
Our story is still being told. It is really the the story of hundreds of individuals, past and present, who have experienced significant life changes, healing, redemption, justice, and joy while being part of our community.
We are also a family, rejoicing with those who rejoice and weeping with those who weep. We journey together, following Jesus and demonstrating God's love to all people.
In 2018 we began to explore the feasibility of expanding our existing facility to give us more useable space for our Sunday services, Kingdom Kidz programming, and fellowship meals.
Construction began in early 2019 and has progressed rapidly due, in part, to the tremendous efforts of our many volunteers and the generous giving of the people who call Provost Community Church their home.
The main level of our building has been expanded to 3700 sq ft from the original 1500 sq ft. Future phases of the project include the development of a new front porch, and new chairs for the sanctuary.
The Bible makes it clear Jesus Christ's church consists of the people who belong to Him and so our goal is to create a functional building while holding on to the attitude and belief that it is His Kingdom we are here to build, not our own.
